**Duties**:
We are seeking an energetic, practice-based professional to assume regular responsibilities as temporary faculty in the Early Childhood Education and Care program. Duties and responsibilities include: developing, preparing and delivering courses, designing and evaluating student assignments and other performance measures, and facilitating student integration of theory and practice through classroom, lab and field placement instruction.
Faculty will participate in program and Faculty meetings, committee work within the program and the Faculty, and participate in other program initiatives and activities such as advising, recruitment, admissions, program, and curriculum development.
This position will require travel to a variety of practice settings.
**Required Qualifications**:
Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care and 7 or more years of practice in Early Childhood Education. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Current membership in the Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia (ECEBC).
- Recent practical experience in the field of Early Childhood Education.
- Strong commitment to, and record of, successful undergraduate teaching and student learning, with the ability to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
- Demonstrated ability to work with, and contribute to, teams at all levels of a post secondary institution.
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing and cultural teachings.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and have a confirmed satisfactory driving record.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
PhD in Early Childhood Education and Care, expertise in instruction at the post-secondary level, proven research skills.
