**Job Synopsis**
- This position will support the MCC Ontario Communications team in a variety of administrative tasks. This will include updating databases, organizing and archiving communication materials, providing admin support for event planning and basic video editing and proofing. This is an 8 week contract role, 35 hours weekly. It is based out of 50 Kent Ave, Kitchener, with hybrid options available.
This position is accountable to the MCCO Communications and Events Senior Manager and requires a high level of collaboration with the Communications and Church Relations Administrative Assistant.
MCC is a charitable organization that partners with churches and community organizations worldwide to walk with people who are disadvantaged. MCC supports activities that provide emergency assistance, reduce poverty, and promote healthy communities, sustainable living and alternatives to violence. As an internationally recognized NGO, MCC currently serves in 57 countries with 716 partners, 1133 staff and 40,000 volunteers.

- Research and update church and individual records in MCC and New Hamburg Mennonite Relief Sale donor databases
- Inventory and organize:

- Communications depository
- Swag
- Displays
- MCC communication material
- Coordinate mailings to churches
- Work with the Events and Sponsorship Associate to prepare for fall events including:

- Bucket of Thanks finale event
- Youth and Young Adult orientation week events at Conrad Grebel and Rockway Collegiate
- Toronto Mennonite Festival
- Inventory and track silent auction items for Toronto Mennonite Festival and prepare necessary communication material
- Create and populate a Low German-speaking service provider database
- Ensuring accuracy of video subtitles by proofing and editing
- Assist the Communications team in reviewing the environmental impact of their activities and working towards minimizing that impact.
- Other administrative duties as required.

Other
- Participate in MCCO orientations, provincial meetings, and annual meeting
- Participate in a local faith community, being willing to use his/her personal gifts within this community and model nonviolent peacemaking through respectful interaction with others
- Maintain a high level of integrity, reflecting Christian respect and Christ's unconditional love to those with whom you work, including colleagues, partner agencies, the homeless and marginalized
- Answer inquiries about MCC from constituency and general public; communicate MCC's values, articulating the importance of MCC's criteria for workers, all of whom serve as representatives of the Mennonite and Be in Christ churches which support MCC
- Model nonviolent peacemaking through respectful daily interactions with staff and the public
