**Role**

The Technical Writer will continue to set and uphold STEPs industry leading asset base, by ensuring the integrity and further development of its asset documentation and literature publications.

**Responsibilities**
- Design, author and publish materials as they relate to the operation of STEPs asset base, including operational and system based manuals.
- Develop, collect, organize and digitize asset build of materials, component manuals, etc.
- Design and assist in development of STEP standard drawings of P&ID layouts, Electrical and Hydraulic Schematics
- Instill STEPS Core Values in all Personnel and Departments

**Safety**
- Enforce HSE policy
- Respond to emergency situations to ensure the security of the personnel, environment and the equipment
- Have a working knowledge of all proper safe work procedures and practices to manage each task in a safe and efficient manner that will ensure that the personnel, the public and the environment are not placed at risk due to our operations
- Conduct JSA procedures with a mindset of “what can go wrong, how can we complete this task safety” and “How does my task affect my fellow worker?”
- Responsible for On-the-Job competency training and coaching as advised by the Team Lead, Electronics or the Maintenance Manager to ensure employees are properly trained and capable of completing the required task

**Administration**
- Track and manage project timelines
- Organization and collection of documents

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Diploma or certificate in relation to CADD design
- Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.
- Experience of Electrical and/or Hydraulic system schematics and principles
- Related industry background experience

**Preferred Skills**
- Experience of industry related asset base and knowledge of its operating principles
