**Job Title**: Community Support Worker (Casual Position)

**Location**: Mountain View Home, 5133 Boundary Road, Abbotsford, BC

As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals living in a mental health rehabilitation setting. You’ll be a key part of our team, ensuring that residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct support and care to residents in their daily activities.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, staff, and other support personnel.
- Actively listen to residents’ concerns and needs, offering emotional support.
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that proper FoodSafe guidelines are followed.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
- Administer basic first aid as required (with a valid CPR certification).
- Engage residents in recreational, social, and life skills activities.
- Be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the residents.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Possession of a certificate or diploma in Residential Care Aide/Long Term Care/ or Mental Health certificate plus at least one year’s recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience working with the mentally ill.
- Empathy and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be a good listener.
- Valid FoodSafe certification is required.
- Valid CPR certification is required.
- Experience working in mental health, community support, or a related field is an asset.
- Must be willing to go above and beyond in providing high-quality care for residents.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with both residents and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours in a casual position.
