Tailor/ Upholsterer

Ignition Marine service is a Marine shop that is providing service to yachts and boats. Ignition Marine is having an open opportunity to hire a trailer and upholsterer who can join the Canvas and Upholstery department. It will be under the supervision of the Project Coordinator.

**Responsibilities**
- Mark, cut, and sew fabric
- Lay out, cut, fabricate, and install upholstery
- Select and modify commercial patterns
- Make OEM patterns according to the manufacturer’s manufacturing
- Perform fittings for upholstery and Canvas.
- Provide quality customer service that meets our standards.
- Design patterns to fit measurements

**Requirements**:

- You have a minimum of 3 years experience in operating an Industrial Sewing Machine
- High attention to detail and organization required.
- Professional, helpful, and meticulous.
- Able to work with industrial sewing machines.

- Quality first. You will review, troubleshoot, and repair any quality control issues with the Project Coordinator
- Cutting, sewing, and gluing fabric according to the requirements of each yacht.
- Affixing zippers, clasps, laces, magnets, and similar fittings.
- Measuring and cutting leather or fabric with the aid of design stencils.
- Gluing, nailing, and stitching fabric into place.
- Conducting quality checks for orders in-process and completed.
- Ability to manage multiple orders
- Ability to lift, pull, and manipulate heavy objects (Up 40 Pounds).
- Ability to stand, kneel, and walk for the entire workday.
- May make upholstery patterns from sketches, customer descriptions, or blueprints
