Florist Assistant

Responsibilities:

- Create floral arrangements and bouquets for various occasions
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate flowers and plants
- Maintain inventory of fresh flowers, plants, and supplies
- Arrange and display flowers in an aesthetically pleasing manner
- Process customer orders and payments using a POS system
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the floral department
- Keep work area clean and organized

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of different types of flowers, plants, and foliage commonly used in floral arrangements
- Ability to create visually appealing floral designs
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems for retail sales
- Excellent customer service skills to assist customers with their floral needs
- Cash handling experience for cashiering duties
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for online flower sales is a plus
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain a well-stocked floral department

Please note that previous experience as a florist or in a similar role is preferred. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is essential. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
