Ampjack Industries Ltd. is an innovative solution provider in the high voltage electrical transmission line field, providing upgrade design and construction services to the utility asset management industry. These services include design and engineering, maintenance and testing, program management, construction, and turnkey EPC projects.
**Primary Function**
The Project Manager - Transmission Line Construction provides oversight of all activities undertaken for the execution of the project deliverables and provides critical support to Senior Management and the technical and operations team. Research and analysis functions may include budget development, tracking and financial forecasting, project evaluation and monitoring, maintaining compliance with corporate and public regulations, and performing any data analysis relevant to project tasks.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
The Project Manager will be called upon to perform any or all the following functions:
- Responsible for managing and directing the project team by providing the communication, coordination and follow-up necessary to meet the project goals and objectives.
- Monitoring of the project to ensure adherence to the contract requirements;
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications;
- Provides ongoing project information and project reviews as required by management.
- Coordinates training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
- Ensures scope of work, schedule, and budgets are clearly defined and understood by senior management and all project participants, including client.
- Maintaining project assets, communications, and related database(s);
- Determines, controls, and maintains overall project schedules and budgets.
- Tracks schedule and budget progress with project milestones and takes all action necessary to keep project on track.
- Identifies and secures necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule.
- Maintains ongoing communication with client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client's needs within contractual obligations, or adjusting project deliverables to meet the client and Ampjack's needs.
- Directly responsible to senior management.
- Participate, lead and or organize daily/ weekly/ monthly project update meetings.

**Qualifications**
- Position is located at company Headquarters located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, with routine visits to project sites which are located across the US and Canada.
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration. Equivalent experience in a construction-related position will also be considered.
- Must be willing to travel. Project sites are located domestically and internationally, travel is required.
- 10+yrs of Construction Project Management experience.
- Preference for high-voltage transmission line engineering or construction experience at 230kV and above
- Experience supervising multiple projects at the same time.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Safety oriented, CCOHS or OSHA certificates
- Strong work ethic and motivated self-starter
- Ability to function as a team-builder/player.
- The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment.
**Required Skills**:
- Must demonstrate a high degree of initiative and ability to interact effectively with others at all levels both inside and outside the corporation.
- Develop initiative and judgment to effectively analyze technical problems in changing situations.
- Comprehension of engineering techniques and standards
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
