**About this opportunity**:
We are currently seeking an Audit Coordinator to join our Joint Venture Accounting team in the Calgary office. Reporting to the Manager, Joint Venture Accounting, this position will be responsible for coordinating audit activities related to operated and non-operated properties.

**Job Functions / Responsibilities**:

- Working with the Operations Accounting Team and other Paramount staff this person will be responsible for booking, hosting, resolving, and tracking all inbound audits
- Working with the Operations Accounting Team and other Paramount staff this person will be responsible for designing the audit program, reviewing, and refining the audit program with the auditor, contacting the Operator to book the audit, preparing the audit notice and Schedule A for submission to the Operator, reviewing the draft audit report from the auditor, approving the draft audit report for release to the Operator, hosting, resolving, and tracking all outbound audits
- Providing information and reports to the auditor in advance of the audit fieldwork (JADEs and Production Accounting Data) and responding to information requests submitted by the auditors during the audit fieldwork
- Ensure all inbound audit queries are properly responded to within 6 months of receipt from the auditor
- For outbound audits, ensure the audit report from the auditor is submitted to the Operator within 2 months from the completion of the audit fieldwork
- For production allocation and measurement audit queries work with production accounting and operations staff to resolve issues relating to compositional analysis, metering, and production allocations
- Where applicable prepare financial entries to correct capital and or operating costs charged in error to the Joint Account
- Upon resolution of all audit queries, request audit closure letter from the Audit Lead conducting the inbound audit
- Where applicable communicate audit findings to Paramount staff to avoid repetition of the same issues
- Update and maintain the audit tracking worksheet for Inbound & Outbound audits
- Ensure the audit report, PRL responses, and supporting documentation are properly saved in the applicable network audit folder
- Other audit activities as assigned

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education with major in Business, Finance, or Accounting
- 15+ years of upstream E&P oil and gas audit experience
- In depth understanding of various oil & gas agreements: CAPL Operating Procedure, Unit & Unit Operating Agreement, Facility Construction, Ownership & Operating Agreement (CO&O), Gas Handling Agreement (GHA), Emulsion Handling Agreement (EHA), Contract Well Operating Agreement (CWOA)
- In depth understanding of the various PASC pronouncements: Accounting Procedure, Audit Protocol;
- Working knowledge Production Accounting principles, and ability to understand measurement & physical flow schematics
- Working knowledge of Petrinex reporting
- Knowledge and experience working with Q-Byte FM and Optix
- Able to work independently and collaboratively to resolve complex operations accounting issues
- Able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- A dedicated team player with a disciplined work ethic, and the ability to interact effectively with people internally and externally
- Eligible to work in Canada
