Samsic Assistance Canada is looking for a Ramp Supervisor for our Montreal below the wing team. This person will help in providing around the clock leadership and coverage for our airline partners and team. You will be the “go-to” person in addressing challenges our airline partner and team may be facing. We are looking for a dynamic problem solver, progressive thinker, and someone who as the proven ability to create efficiencies in the operation and an individual who is safety oriented.
**Responsibilities**
- Promoting safe work practices
- Leading and developing team members
- Providing instructions and coaching to employees on best practices
- Provide hands on shadowing and on the job training
- Responsible for the safe and efficient on-loading and off-loading of cargo and passenger baggage / preparing aircraft for arrival and departure
- Effectively communicate and coordinate crew and operational flight activities with all stake holders
- Marshalling or towing aircraft to gate positions for passenger boarding and deplaning
- Driving and operating aircraft servicing vehicles and equipment
- Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience and training experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example by creating a positive learning and work environment
- Must have RAIC, AVOP and a Driver’s license
- Ability to be flexible with availability
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality
- Strong communication, strong delegation skills and interpersonal skills
- Carry out time critical decisions
- Self starter, self motivated, able to work within strict timelines in order to maintain on-time performance while ensure safety first and always
- Able to life heavy objects weighing up to 70 pounds (32 kilograms)
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearance
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
