**POSITION**: Committee Chair (Volunteer Position)

**PURPOSE**:The Transitional Housing Fundraising Campaign Committeewill be the primary fundraising group for this campaign. This group will be actively engaged in developing and implementing strategies to solicit critical donor prospects and donations to ensure the success of this project. With significant support from Hiatus House staff, the Transitional Housing Fundraising Campaign Committee will be responsible for raising approximately 50% of the overall fundraising goal.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Play a role in bringing together the people and resources needed to implement a successful fundraising campaign.
- Play a role in enabling the development of the fundraising campaign plan, including goals, strategies, and schedule.
- Facilitate communication between Hiatus House staff and the fundraising committee as needed.
- Chair regular committee meetings.
- Help identify and engage potential donors as determined by the group.
- Help with direct implementation of the fundraising campaign.
- Monitor and communicate campaign progress.
- Assist with ensuring that volunteers and donors are appropriately thanked for their gifts and support.
- Assist with planning and executing campaign events as needed.
- Help evaluate overall campaign results and make future recommendations.

**TIME COMMITMENT**:The estimated time commitment for this position is 5-10 hours per month.

**STAFF SUPPORT**: The Transitional Housing Fundraising Campaign Committee will be supported by the Fundraising & Development Coordinator, Transitional Housing Project Coordinator, and Executive Director. Hiatus House will supply resource information, technical assistance, and administrative support as needed. This could include, but is not limited to preparing physical meeting materials, tracking communication, and generating fundraising reports.
