**Hybrid Job**: This job offers the opportunity to work from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement. This arrangement will allow you to work some days at a TCHC work location and the rest of the time from home. Reporting to the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, the role is responsible for facilitating efficient and effective Board, Committee and Subsidiary meetings and providing advice on issues related to corporate governance in a manner that supports TCHC's tenant focused culture.

**What you’ll do**
- Organize, attend and ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of Board, Committee and Subsidiary meetings (prepare work plans, distribute meeting packages, notices of meetings, agendas, meeting calendar invites, etc.).
- Ensure the preparation and appropriate circulation of meeting minutes of meetings, details of the resolutions and decisions in order that proper account of them is taken and recorded and review and approve the payment of remuneration and reimbursement of expenses of the Directors.
- Liaise with the Board and staff, manage relationships and co-ordinate with different business units within TCHC to prepare Board, Committee and Subsidiary reports and follow up on Board, Committee and Subsidiary questions and requests.
- Develop and monitor corporate governance principles and framework, and provide advice and resources to the Board, its Committees and Subsidiary Boards in the discharge of their fiduciary duties.
- Research, prepare reports, and advise on governance best practices associated with the operation of the Board or Committee. Update Board and Committee Charters.
- Oversee and train governance unit staff to ensure teamwork, high standards of work quality and organizational performance, continuous learning and encourages initiative and innovation.

**What you’ll need**
- Postsecondary education in a discipline pertinent to the job function such as business, business administration, public administration, law OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience providing advice, guidance and support on policies, legislation and/or procedural processes, in a decision making body such as government or board of directors of an organization.
- Experience in managing competing interests, requirements, deadlines and human dynamics associated with the administration of a decision making body such as government or board of directors of an organization.
- Experience in the meeting management process, which may include planning and managing meetings, preparing agendas, providing meeting notice, and accurately recording motions and decisions.
- Strong organizational, time-management & analytical skills
- Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer literacy (Outlook, Word processing, PDF, etc.) is required.
