**Fire season is quickly approaching Looking for an exciting career as a Wildfire Medic or Driver? **Wildfire personnel may be required to work long hours in challenging and changing conditions, such as high temperatures and steep terrain.

Medic Responsibilities include the use of skills and expertise to provide emergency response, medical assessment, primary health care, injury prevention, and coordinate emergency medical evacuations as needed. You will exercise independence, judgment and initiative by logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems that arise on site.

Driver Responsibilities include Utilizing the most expedient route, safely transporting injured worker's and medical staff from pick-up point. Driving medics daily to their designated destinations. Conducts daily safety checks on vehicle(s), topping up vehicle fluids (e.g., gas and windshield wiper fluids etc.) in a timely manner. Liaise with nearby fire centres as needed to coordinate patient care and transfers.

The requirements that need to be met are a class 5 drivers license and a clean (current) driver’s abstract, an S100 or S100A and an S185 (BC fire suppression course), completed a fitness test and OFA1 or higher certificate.

Courses are available for S100 and S185 through Infinity.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

**Salary**: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 84 per week
