**Job Summary**:
The Laundry Laborer, operating within a commercial laundry facility, plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and quality processing of laundry items, such as comforters, pillowcases, fleece, and coveralls for clients. This position involves the operation of various laundry equipment, as well as other essential tasks, such as labeling, packaging, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work environment. The Laundry Laborer must demonstrate attention to detail, commitment to health and safety, cooperation, organization, resourcefulness, teamwork, and time management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate washing and drying equipment to launder comforters, linen, pillowcases, fleece, coveralls and other items for clients.
- Operate the ironer and wrapper, ensuring proper operation.
- Examine items for damages and document damaged items.
- Mark, record and repair (sewing and patching) damaged items for clients.
- Sort, fold, package and label laundered items according to client specifications.
- Ensure the proper operation and safety checks of laundry equipment.
- Clean work areas and maintain a safe and organized environment.
- Collaborate with other team members and assist with additional tasks when needed.

**Job Duties**:

- Launder items while ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met.
- Detect equipment malfunctions and make necessary adjustments within capabilities.
- Follow manufacturing and processing procedures and set machine controls accordingly.
- Monitor machines closely for any signs of problems and communicate with management when issues arise.
- Participate in team discussions and coordinate with other team members to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as required.
- Operate Forklift (Forklift Ticket Required).
- Maintain and clean linen traps on equipment.
- Refill chemical containers as needed.
- Clean out washer drains regularly.
- Notify the manager of any machine malfunctions or breakdowns.
- Assist with building lockup procedures.

**Other Duties**:

- Clean bathrooms, kitchen, and front areas.
- Sweep and mop designated areas.
- Take out the garbage and cardboard.
- Wash and dry rags, broom/mop heads.
- Assist customers with coverall pickup or drop-off when needed.
- Maintain a clean and tidy supply room.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy laundry items.
- Basic knowledge of laundry machines and their operation.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

**Job Specifications**:
