Distribution Supervisor

In this role, you will supervise all picking/receiving activities while respecting set budgets and keeping interruptions in customer service to a minimum. In addition, you will manage warehouse employees while maintaining a good working environment and promoting occupational health and safety.

**Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to all warehouse employees.
- Promote a culture of safety at every opportunity with employees. Ensure safety procedures are being followed strictly and that work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Supervise the daily work flow in the areas of order filling, picking, receiving and truck loading.
- Identify process improvements, increase efficiency and productivity to achieve budget targets and operational metrics.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure effective internal and external customer service.
- Ensure standard productivity and error standards are consistently met.
- Provide orientation and ongoing training.
- Assess manpower requirements necessary to maintain established service levels.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education in operational management preferred or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience within distribution/operations industry.
- Experience in dry storage environments preferred.
- Bilingualism (English/French), employee needs to be able to communicate with the head office, and internal and external customers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- PC and computer systems knowledge is necessary.
- Personal strengths include exceptional leadership and interpersonal communication abilities, self-motivation and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of and experience in general warehouse practices and procedures related to the order filling and delivery functions (WMS, Routing, etc.).
