**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinating all financial operational functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, standard costing, Month end and consolidation processes.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and interpretations of financial reports for management including monthly financial statements and associated analysis at the regional and consolidated levels.
- Oversee all accounts, general ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with the Company’s accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support new business acquisitions/start up from due diligence to integrating the business with parent company including product costing, sales price strategy, establishing financial statements, work with operations supporting growth.
- Prepare costing of new products for manufacturing and for sales price strategies
- Lead the preparation and review of compliance/covenant reports
- Performing margin analysis for each business unit for improved cost management and increased profits.
- Perform due diligence over potential investment opportunities.
- Analysis of capital investment decisions for proposed expenditures
- Developing and enforcing internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial reporting processes and systems
- Implement best practices and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Manage, mentor, and develop finance team in collaboration with the Controller
- Manage and coordinate with external accounting partners in the preparation of annual financial statements, income tax filings, and audits;
- Drive the continued development of SAP and SAP BPC;
- Strong sense of accountability as demonstrated through a relentless desire to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and integrity of the financial information.
- Champion and implement continuous improvement initiatives to attain “best in class” process and procedures.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Professional accounting designation CPA/CMA/CGA
- +5 years professional experience as a Controller
- Minimum 5 years previous experience in a multi-plant Manufacturing environment
- +2 years’ experience in consolidating multiple operating entities in multi-currency environments
- Personal commitment to organizational excellence; honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics in all decisions and actions
- Minimum 2 years’ experience leading and supervising others (team of 5 or more), with the proven ability to develop employees, provide guidance, direction and training, transfer knowledge and promote a positive working environment
- In-depth knowledge of SAP (3+ yrs)
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to focus on continuous improvement
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills, knowing when it is appropriate to delegate tasks
- Experience and Knowledge of the Food and Beverage industry is an asset.
- Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation
- SAP/S4 Hanna experience would be an added asset.

- Travel requirements within Canada - 10%
- Valid passport
