The Horticulture Centre of the Pacific (HCP) is a not-for-profit society focused on the provision of horticulture education and the development and maintenance of 103 acres of educational gardens and conservation lands. This is a Monday to Friday position that will include one weekend, August 12th & 13th, where it is all hands on deck for our annual Arts & Music in the Garden Festival

If you are a friendly and hardworking team player, we want to meet you This is a fantastic opportunity for a student that is looking for summer employment outside and who wants to spend the summer learning about horticulture

**General duties include**:

- Assist the Garden staff with general garden duties including, but not limited to: pruning, weeding, watering, fertilizing, transplanting, compost maintenance, lawn care.
- Good general knowledge of plants and gardening practices is an asset.
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision, but also able to work as part of a team.
- Competency in using garden equipment and machinery.
- Physical ability to perform all garden tasks including some heavy lifting.
- Help in other departments and with volunteers as required.

Start date July 4th. Wage is $16.75-$17.50/hour.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: $16.75-$17.50 per hour
