Set-up Technician

**Purpose and Scope**:
The Set-up Technician is responsible for start-up and setup of machines to prepare for production. This position reports to the production shift supervisor.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Clean machines and moulds
- Perform supervised and unsupervised set ups
- Set up auxiliary equipment
- Ensure workspace is prepared for the Operator
- Report any malfunctioning equipment to the Production Shift Supervisor
- Look for continuous improvement opportunities with regards to set-up time and process
- Be an integral part of the 5S program within Dynaplas
- First off inspection
- Plant start up and shut down
- Sample new products and materials
- Assist Production Shift Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned

**Knowledge & Skill**
- Technical trade college or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of hand tools and safe working conditions
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 2 years injection moulding experience
- Knowledge of Mould Design
- Ability to solve moulding problems
- Knowledge of 5S program
- Basic Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements
