We are seeking Digital Rail Leader to join our team will sit in the Canada geography in our Toronto office. They will work closely with the regional Digital Services Portfolio Leader, the regional Transport Market Portfolio Leader, the Geography Rail Business Leaders, the Americas Rail Systems Engineering Leader, and the regional Rail Business Leader to expand the impact of our digital services business in the rail market, especially in Canada.
The Digital Rail Leader will direct and provide digital advisory services for our rail clients, with expertise in asset management, rail operations and guiding the internal IT teams of our rail clients.
The Digital Rail Leader will bring client contacts, a depth of digital knowledge and experience from the industry, links to the institutions and key bodies for this industry as well as a track record in business development and client relationship management. A key part of this role will be to secure new and repeat work for the business.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Working with Market, Business, Service and Geography leaders to expand our relationships with existing rail clients and opening relationships with new clients.
- Advising clients on their digital and data roadmaps.
- Developing digital service offerings relevant to the rail market such as Asset Condition Monitoring and Management, Service Planning and Operations, Maintenance, Rehabilitation
- Advising clients on Rail Data Collection and Insights and Customer Experience improvements.
- Communicating and liaising with clients/partners/stakeholders and managing client/partner/stakeholder meetings.
- Identification of suitable partners to consider for major pursuits.
- Negotiating appropriate types of contracts and conditions of engagement for Arup services and sub-consultants which minimize risk and maximize the value that the firm can deliver.
- Represent Arup at the highest levels regionally and beyond, promoting Arup digital expertise and ensuring we are seen as a thought leader, innovator and partner of choice in the Rail marketplace.
**Qualifications**
- 10-15 years of experience in delivery of digital-driven infrastructure projects, with at least five years in the Rail market
- Networked with clients in the Rail market
- Business development experience
- Strong technical experience
- Commercial/finance skills and ability to develop fee proposals
- The ability to prioritize effectively, manage deadlines and exceptional organization skills required for our rapidly changing environment.
- Effective presentation skills, with colleagues and clients of all levels.
- Degree qualified with relevant professional qualification
