**Duties**:
As the Deputy Chief, Corporate Planning, you are responsible for:

- Directing the business planning and development of budgetary allocation and resource planning activities for the Service; making recommendations on organizational priorities that impact resource and operational constraints and directs the HR and financial planning, analyses, and reporting for the Service.
- Directing the design of frameworks for implementing, maintaining, and reporting on project and program planning, strategic and corporate planning and performance measurement and risk management. Coordinating the corporate planning process and directs the analysis of post project evaluations. Information derived from such analysis is used in the formulation of recommendations on improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
- Directing the Service's priority setting and strategic planning initiatives; including the collection, manipulation, and presentation of corporate planning and reporting products such as the Strategic Plan, Sector plans, and project specific plans.
- Providing direction and guidance to a team of professionals in the areas of corporate planning, reporting, risk and performance management. Ensuring the development and implementation of plans and initiatives support business Sectors in their responsibilities for planning and reporting.
- Supporting organizational governance and decision-making.

Recent* and significant** experience in leading or contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of departmental or Branch-level plans, strategies, reports, frameworks, policies or programs.

Experience in monitoring and reporting on corporate and financial activities or processes.

Recent* and significant** experience in providing strategic advice, briefings and recommendations to senior management (Director General level and above) on corporate initiatives to enable decision making, including the drafting and presenting of Briefing Notes to executives.

Experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships, including consultation and collaboration, with internal and external stakeholders to deliver improved business outcomes.

DEFINITIONS:

**Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex activities related to this task, which are acquired on a full-time basis over a three (3) year period.
