**Major Purpose**
Under the general direction and supervision of the Manager, Multimedia, the Digital Platforms Advisor develops and supports digital communications/marketing strategies designed to engage audiences and enhance the visibility of FCM across corporate communications channels. This person provides strategic digital communications counsel, executes key communications deliverables, and contributes to the communications and advocacy efforts of FCM.
The Platforms Advisor will create and curate compelling visual digital content, manage FCM’s social media accounts, design and implement social media campaigns and new website content, and prepare analytics reports. Evaluation of content reach, impact and results will also be critical. The person in this position is also responsible for animating and growing the FCM audience.
The Digital Platforms Advisor leverages current best practices and emerging trends to expand FCM’s reach and impact across corporate communications channels, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and objectives. The Advisor supports the Policy and Public Affairs department, members of the Board and FCM’s senior leadership in fulfilling their communications and advocacy mandate.

The Advisor, will maintain the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism and exercise good judgment including the ability to escalate to management when help is required and being able to meet deadlines as set out by their direct manager within a fast-paced corporate environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Works collaboratively to plan and implement digital strategies and campaigns.
- Develops and/or edits visual content for digital platforms (social media and website) in both languages (short videos shareables and other creative assets) and manages content dissemination on social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn).
- Coordinates the design and production of graphic assets, including illustrations, infographics, logos, and visual effects, for multimedia projects.
- Manages social media channels by coordinating content publication, monitoring for engagement opportunities, answering messages/comments, and ensuring FCM pages are up to date.
- Regularly conducts reports and analyses of web and social media usage and develops approaches to optimize uptake.
- Ensures that digital communications plans and campaigns are aligned with corporate strategies, visual standards and objectives.
- Participates in cross-functional teamwork for organizational initiatives.
- Provides social media guidance and identify opportunities to optimize communication within the digital space.
- Supports the team by conducting quality assurance across all digital assets.
**Knowledge, Experience and Skills**
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Visual Media, Journalism or a combination of experience and/or education that would be considered equivalent
- At least 5 years of professional experience in digital communications
- Strong ability to use visual editing tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro and Acrobat to produce high-quality creative assets for social media and other digital platf
