The Saskatchewan Association of Watersheds (SAW) is a non-profit, environmental organization whose mandate is to deliver projects and programming to protect, improve and sustain ground and surface water quality for urban and rural communities across Saskatchewan.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Administrator to join our team. The Accounting Administrator will be responsible for various accounting tasks including payroll, bank reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. The

**Duties**:

- Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Manage accounts payable by reviewing invoices, ensuring accuracy, and processing payments - Assist with account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end close processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
- Receiving and recording cash and cheques
- Managing transactions for cash and cheques with banks
- Using bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets, and software such as Microsoft Excel, Sage Accounting as examples.
- And any additional financial responsibilities as required.

**Experience**:
Proven experience as an Accounting Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and bookkeeping
- Proficiency in using accounting software of Sage is a must
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Extremely trustworthy and professionally minded

Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, financial, and mathematical skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

**Accounting Administrator experience requirements**:
This position requires minimum of two years accounting experience. Experience with specific accounting software programs, such as Sage Accounting, is required.

**Accounting Administrator education and training requirements**:
This position requires a diploma or degree in finance, bookkeeping or accounting. Matched accounting experience, without the required education listed above, will be considered. Any designations certified by a reputable organization such as the Certified Professional Bookkeepers of Canada is an asset.

**Wage**:
This position is $25-30/hr based on experience. This is a full-time position, working up to 40 hours per week, with cost-shared health and dental benefits, vacation, and sick leave after the successful completion of the mandatory probation period.

**Location**:
This position will be stationed in head office in Moose Jaw, SK
