LEAD BARTENDER

The Vancouver Rowing Club is the city's oldest amateur athletic club. We are known for our sporting prowess and our beautiful heritage clubhouse perched on the shores of Stanley Park in Coal Harbour. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service in a welcoming environment for our members and guests.

Responsibilities include:

- training and supervising bartending & kitchen staff, providing guidance on best practices and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
- providing friendly and attentive service to members and guests, anticipating their need and exceeding their expectations.
- preparation and service of alcoholic beverages in accordance with BC liquor laws including checking customer's identification and confirming they are club members and meet legal drinking age requirements
- preparation and service of non-alcoholic beverages and assisting with food service when required
- compliance with all food and beverage policies and regulations
- assisting in restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
- maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar, including proper storage of liquor, glassware and supplies
- handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to all cash-handling procedures.
- staying member focused and providing an excellent overall guest experience
- performing other duties as assigned or directed

**Requirements**:

- must possess current Serving It Right certificate
- 3+ years of experience as a bartender, preference given to those with private club experience
- proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- ability to lift 40lbs
