**Basic Purpose**:
This position, under the leadership of a General Manager or a VP, is responsible for leading and managing full-service hotel operations, including financial performance and guest satisfaction. This hands-on position will provide direction to Department Managers and guide the property in continuous improvement of service standards, increasing sales, and reducing costs.
Reporting to a General Manager, or a VP of Operations depending on the organizational structure.
**Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities**
- Leads, guides, directs and is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the property with guidance from their direct report
- Implements plans, projections, budgets and forecasting
- Plans, organizes, directs, audits and controls operations in accordance with policies, goals and objectives of the corporation.
- Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate staff, provide support and analysis of operational requirements. With support from Corporate HR
- Responsible for health and safety of guests and staff through training, communication, daily and monthly inspections, preventative maintenance and general upkeep of property
- Responsible for overall hotel management, revenue management, guest service standards, sales and marketing programs and adherence to all corporate policies.
- Ensure adherence to all government regulations, policies and procedures
- Liaise with corporate leadership team to support the company’s mission and develop plans of action.
- Responsible to communicate clearly with all staff and management to assure various departments are working effectively and productively.
- Ensures the security of guests, staff, property, and cash is protected from damage, theft and loss
**Qualifications**
- Post secondary designation in Hospitality management or a related discipline
- 4 years hospitality experience as a Manager.
- Ability to manage change effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and skills.
- Strong budgetary, projections and cost control skills.
- Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
- Proven ability to lead a complex integrated business operation that has diverse profit centres.
- Food and Beverage/rooms/clubs expereince
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From $60,000.00 per year
