Position Summary:
The project coordinator will be hired to carry out the coordination tasks of a CIHR Funded Project to develop the PRinciples to Operationalize Community Engagement, Equity, and Sustainability in South Asian Health Research in Canada (PROCESS) for meaningful engagement with South Asian academics and communities in the research context for governments and related agencies, health system organizations, research institutes, and community-led organizations. This role will be critical to ensuring the effective coordination of communication of all research and development of PROCESS and uptake. This individual will ensure the project is run in compliance with the requirements and regulations as set forth by McGill University and will provide administrative guidance to the research team, administration of the project budget, monitor resource utilization, and aid in the preparation of data collection and writing progress reports. They will serve as the liaison between study collaborators and stakeholders, complete REB submissions, coordinate with community partners, and external bodies, organize and attend meetings.
Qualifications:
- Possesses specialized knowledge of the field or discipline acquired through a Master’s Degree.
- Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 on a scale of 0-4.
