One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking a 1 FTE Facilities Administrator who as a valuable member of the Community Health Centre is responsible for providing facilities administration to all NorWest CHC sites which include Thunder Bay, Kakabeka, Armstrong and Longlac.
The position has a competitive salary, excellent group health benefits and the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Post-secondary education in a related field (i.e trades) or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Knowledge of the basic principles and techniques in building systems with five or more years of experience and knowledge in building maintenance, cleaning and repair; experience in large, high traffic facilities would be an asset.
- Experience with procurement processes and contract development
- Experience working in building maintenance and working with trades is an asset
- Familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects.
- Knowledge and skills in project management processes and techniques, as well as budgeting processes.
- Strong problem solving skills and self-managed.
- Ability to be a self-starter, multi-task and perform duties under mínimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Supervisory experience with maintenance and/or cleaning staff.
- High level of organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing high quality customer service.
- Experience with the operation and use of security systems
- Flexibility in work hours is required.
- Valid driver’s license and use of a reliable vehicle. Out of town travel is required between sites.
