We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our CASE Group under the supervision of our Marketing Manager. You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of suppliers and products, building strong relationships and driving profitability. As part of our Marketing team, you'll provide the commercial team with key products, pricing, and market insights to help grow our business.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Buyer in our CASE group?:
- Responsible for building trust with our commercial team by providing up to date market information, relevant market pricing in a timely fashion with the goal of gaining market share for the portfolio
- Maintain inventory within corporate targets
- Ensure that all inventory held is covered by back-to-back agreements, that buying decisions are in line with the procurement protocol
- Negotiate appropriate payment terms in line with the business needs of the product line
- Negotiate the best possible pricing and terms with each of the suppliers in the portfolio, ensuring that we can offer competitive pricing in the market
- Provide timely pricing and technical information to the sales team
- Provide suppliers with the relevant information needed to understand the Canadian market, share opportunities with them and determine together which are the best targets to close
- Monitor the profitability of all transactions for the portfolio and adjusting on an as needed
- Maintain good communication with suppliers to ensure you are aware of their needs and market conditions that are affecting them
- Monitor the service levels provided to us, and give feedback as needed
- Closely monitor customer product demand and pro-actively adjust inventory and procurement levels as needed
- Inventory control and monitoring
- Run and analyze several systems generated reports
- Data entry in different platforms (SAP, Oracle / JD Edwards, Excel, etc.)
- Have a post-secondary diploma or college diploma and/or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a procurement of raw materials position. Experience in the chemical, industrial, adhesives, coatings industry would be considered as a strong asset
- Strong negotiating skills
- Detail oriented, multi-functional with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Have acquired strong computer skills (ideally with a CRM such as Salesforce and be able to work effectively with the Office 365 suite)
- Ability to motivate oneself, demonstrate autonomy, learn new technologies and adapt to new situations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and cooperate with others to achieve results
- Solid analytical skills and the ability to make decisions even when under pressure
