We are currently seeking a fully bilingual Communications Coordinator. The role is ideal for those eager to build their skills and experience across a broad range of marketing and communications projects.

Reporting to the Manager of Communications, the Communications Coordinator performs communications, marketing and administrative duties to advance the mission the organization. The incumbent has a passion for social media, keeps abreast of trends and has an interest in marketing and engagement.

Our exchanges and youth-centered educational and career resources enrich personal relationships and build confidence and skills.

**Main Responsibilities**

The main duties and responsibilities of the Communications Coordinator include:

- Develops and publishes content for Experience’s Canada’s website, blog, newsletters in both French and English.
- Creates social media content (posts and reels) including video, graphics and captions using Canva or similar programs to promote Experiences Canada’s programs and opportunities.
- Liaises with program staff to create and maintain comprehensive social media schedule of posts.
- Acts as project officer/staff liaison for Experiences Canada’s voluntary Youth Advisory Council. The Council helps us advance key engagement strategies to help us achieve our outreach objectives.
- Provides technical support to program team in hosting online webinars and troubleshooting questions and issues from participants during the webcasts.
- Monitors online media for clippings and prepares quarterly media report.
- Actively participate in interdepartmental collaboration, occasionally assisting other teams with a variety of marketing and communication tasks to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
- Supports other duties as assigned.

**Required Skills**:
**Education**: A post-secondary diploma in Communications, Marketing or a discipline related to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.

**Experience**: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the following areas:

- Preparing, editing, and publishing various communication products for media, website, and social media.
- Demonstrated results creating content or increasing audience on social media (personal accounts accepted).

**Desired Experience/Knowledge**
- Proofreading and writing techniques, such as grammar, punctuation and spelling ideally in both French and English.
- Compiling, analyzing, preparing, organizing, and maintaining contact lists and other pertinent marketing information in an efficient manner.
- Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing in both official languages.
- Prioritizes and organizes workload with minimum supervision.

**Additional Information**
- Experiences Canada is in Ottawa. Employees are currently working on a hybrid plan with 2-3 days each week spent in the office.
- The successful applicant will be required to install additional security software on their own devices to have remote access to our server and shared network.
- This position requires occasional travel to conferences and events.
- This position does require the incumbent to work occasional evenings and weekends to support youth programming and the Youth Advisory Council.
