Operator - Hamiltion Pier

Sylvite is a multinational, privately owned, business headquartered in Burlington Ontario providing critical products and services in the agricultural and transportation sectors.
- Agriculture - Sylvite provides a full supply chain solution for crop input products such as fertilizer, seed and pesticides.Transportation - The transportation group at Sylvite not only coordinates part of the agricultural supply chain, but also provides logistics services to a large customer base, transporting goods throughout Canada and the United States.

Function:

- Responsible for supporting the operations of the terminal in receiving, handling and shipping crop input products
- Primary Responsibilities include the operation of Vessel offloading.

Site Operations:

- Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations
- Maintain professionalism and a customer service attitude towards customers or truck drivers when delivering or picking up products at the branch
- Assist in receiving vessels of fertilizer, seed, chemicals or other products as required.
- Assist the loading of liquid fertilizer on trucks
- Asist in weighting in and out of trucks
- Assist in the melt plant operations of cooking 50% UAN.
- Perform routine clean up and maintenance of the site.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Education, Experience and / or Training Requirements:

- WHMIS Training
- Forklift certificate preferred.
- Ability to lift 25kg continuously.
- Practice of servicing customer and driver in a courteous and timely manner
