**Full Job Description**

**Production Coordinator**

Reports to the Operations and Engineering Manager. The Production Coordinator will support production on tasks in the plant and 3rd party manufacturing facility to make sure all goals and deadlines are met. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
**Education**

Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent.

Years of ExperienceMinimum 1+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions Manufacturing setting;
On site work environment involves some exposure to hazards of physical risks that require knowledge of and adherence to basic safety procedures;
Work environment requires wearing PPE.

Junior Level Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook;
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
Discretion, and tact to handle confidential information; and
Demonstrate SP Steel's values and work in a team environment.

**Job Specific Duties**

Coordinate production control efforts to ensure success of an on-time production schedule;
Assist with e-request (expedited request) parts;
Assist with special projects from start to finish which includes technical support and coordination;
Request for Quotes from Suppliers;
Cut Purchase Orders Once approved;
Ensure PO's are received on time from vendors;
Follow-Up with Vendors on delivery dates and quality requirements;
Update backorder trackers and follow up for completion with all departments;
Communicate production updates to internal stakeholders on database;
Read and interpret drawings from Engineering to execution in the plant;
Update records and dates related to material planning and production schedule;
Communicate with purchasing department on material needed to complete backorders;
Maintain a good working knowledge of company policies and procedures;
Any additional tasks assigned by the Management; and
Represent SP Steel, as requested, in business with customers, consultants, contractors and suppliers.

**Job Type**: Permanent
