Heavy Equipment Operator

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of and ability to operate a variety of pieces of heavy equipment in a safe manner such as loaders, backhoe, excavator, dozer, skid steer, roller etc
- Knowledge of road construction, sewer and watermain
- Ability to read and write to complete and maintain daily operating and safety records
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
- Strong verbal and listening skills

**Responsibilities**:

- Operator will use heavy equipment to perform a variety of tasks which may include: fine grading and finishing, landscaping, sloping and banking, backfilling, ditching, excavation, rough grading, stumping, sub-grade excavating, trenching, material handling, slope grooming and snow removal.
- Working around live utilities

Working Conditions:

- Work locations are outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willingness and ability to travel out of town to perform work as necessary
- This role requires flexibility to work weekends

**Salary**: $28.00-$40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
