**Responsibilities**

Manage all property and liability insurance claims (open to close) including other lines as required.

Act as primary point of contact for all claim inquiries across the entire organization & subsidiaries

Effectively manage TPA and provide direction to adjusters that drive quick resolution

Define areas of improvements and goals, then initiate and follow through on enacting solutions with limited direct supervision

Identify patterns, concerns and trends to management to assist in loss reduction and further enhance overall insurance program Initiate and lead exposure and coverage discussions or meetings between various stakeholder (operations, TPA, Finance, Legal, broker, etc.)

Support acquisition and renewal process activities Deliver or assist coordinating various insurance-related training sessions Maintain all related files and filing, including invoices Assist department management with various administrative functions related to department operations Assist and update risk management and insurance claims policies and procedures Work collaboratively with team members and/or Manager on special projects and assignments when required, including the implementation/use of RMIS.

Work with coworkers and stakeholders in a consorted effort to advance the overall department/team/organization

**Qualifications**

Post-secondary education and / or equivalent on the work experience

Minimum 2 - 4 years claims adjusting experience examining property and liability claims

Working knowledge of standard insurance principles and practices related to claims settlement, policy wordings, insurance contracts, fraud investigations, complex losses and insurance coverages.

Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Critical thinking skills, ability to work with data and problem solve

Superior customer service skills

Actively pursuing CIP/FCIP designation an asset.

PC proficiency to include but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint
