**Working for the Faculty**

The Faculty of Arts is the oldest and most diverse faculty on campus and is one of the largest research and teaching centres in Western Canada. The Department of Drama offers several undergraduate and graduate degree programs. We value rigorous academic standard and interdisciplinary investigation, process and product, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion as well as fostering collaboration across disciplines and modes of creation. The Department of Drama at the University of Alberta provides a dynamic learning environment through professional practice, liberal arts study, and graduate scholarship. **Position**

Responsibilities for the position include:

- Teaching 5 undergraduate courses over 2 semesters. Subject to confirmation, the teaching assignment is likely to include junior courses in theatre making and acting, with senior undergraduate directing.
- Service responsibilities directly related to the teaching assignment (student advising, office hours) and participation in department meetings.

**Qualifications**
- Applicants must hold an MFA in Drama (Directing or Acting).
- Demonstrated effective university teaching is a requirement for the position.
- Experience in Intimacy Direction or Coaching in a university setting is required.
