**Early Childhood Educator - ECE Full Time**

- Competitive pay rate ($20.50 - $22.50) with a $6.00 increase provided by the Club in lieu of the government wage enhancement.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Work with the Children’s Center Manager to provide high quality care for children ages 0-5 years
- Ensuring the programs led are of high standards and excellence
- Ensure your students are learning and engaged
- Ensuring classroom is set up in a timely manner, is well-organized and maintained.
- Maintain a welcome and communicative relationship with children, families, and members
- Demonstrate appropriate child guidance techniques that are respectful to the child and help develop self-esteem, independence, good decision making, and trust
- Utilizing prepared materials and resources to develop high quality programs and curriculums
- Supervising outdoor play
- Subbing in other Children’s Programs when needed
- Participating in school activities, trips, and events

**Requirements & Qualifications**
- BC Early Child Educator Certificate
- Child First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Criminal Record Review by Ministry of Education
- Immunization History
- including COVID-19 Vaccination
- 3 reference contacts or letters related to the field
- Experience working with children ages 0-5 years
- Experience in a Montessori environment an asset
- Knowledge using Montessori equipment an asset
- Experience in a Play-based, Reggio Emilia, or Waldorf environment an asset
- Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to lead programs solo or with groups of children of varying ages, needs, and abilities
- Ability to lead programs that are both academic and play-based

Pay: From $26.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
