GFL is currently hiring Full-time Labourers (Assistant Operators).
Our specialized Labourers are a key part of our team based out of Ottawa.
**Key Responsibilties**:
- Operating equipment and tools;
- Assist with emergency & spill response;
- Pressure blasting & washing;
- Removal & disposal of hazardous waste;
- Remediation of contaminated areas;
- Confined space, working at heights.
- Digging holes and trenches;
- Securing and safely loading/unloading vehicles with equipment and supplies;
- Secure work area and set up traffic control;
- Other duties as required. Key Requirements:
Professional and positive attitude;
Motivation to ensure timelines and expectations are met;
Strong regard for safety and safe work practices;
Minimum of two (2) years working and driving experience;
G class drivers’ licence with a clean abstract;
Accept change and be adaptable to different work environments;
Being part of an On-call rotation (every 3 weeks);
Fall Protection/Working at Heights and Confined Space experience an asset. We offer (Perks/Benefits):
