The position will start June 19th and continue for 10 [ten] consecutive weeks. The positions will end when the cumulative 10 weeks are concluded, which will depend on weather conditions. Salary is based on a 35 hour work week at $16.50/hr.

Position Overview

No prior work experience is required but will be considered in the selection process. The applicant must be prepared to work outside as the weather will dictate varying working conditions. Tasks will be in all locations in the park. All staff are expected to engage in physical activities that may include planting trees, mowing green spaces and paths, using whipper/trimmers to deal with weeds and unwanted grass, moving wheelbarrows of soil and woodchips, carrying buckets of water and other general labour. Training in these tasks and in job-related responsibilities will be provided by assigned staff and/or Henteleff Park Foundation Board members. Training will include the use of gas-operated equipment.

Contract length: 10 weeks

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
