- **Open Position**: Kids & Dogs Summer Camp Counselor

**Camp Dates**:

- Week 1: July 8 to July 12, 2024
- Week 2: August 12 to August 16, 2024

**JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist with running the Kids & Dogs Summer Camp program during the two weeks,
- Assist in the handling of pets,
- Supervise and coordinate the daily schedule of activities, including before and aftercare programs,
- Mediate any conflicts that may arise between kids,
- General cleaning duties to prepare the classroom for the next day

**REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**:

- At least 1-2 years of experience with childcare, teaching or camp counselling required
- CPR certification preferred
- Proven track record of superior organization and multi-tasking
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be able to participate in potentially strenuous physical activity
- Demonstrated skills in conflict mediation
- Must be able to work with dogs and understand basic dog body language

**WORKING HOURS**:
This position is temporary and is only required for the two weeks the Kids & Dogs Camp will be running during the Summer of 2024. Basic training will be provided.

Daily Start Time - 8:45 AM
Estimated End Time - 5:15 PM

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 weeks

Pay: $700.00-$775.00 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vaughan, ON L4L 0C4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Certificate from the Ontario College of Teachers (preferred)

Work Location: In person
