Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food for events, such as weddings, parties, and corporate functions
- Collaborate with clients to create customized menus based on their preferences and dietary restrictions
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with event planners and other staff members to ensure smooth execution of events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and work area
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines during food preparation and service
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes
- Handle food safely and hygienically to prevent cross-contamination
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the restaurant or food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality food presentation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
