We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join our Monday Rock team. Monday Rock is an exciting site boosting the Sea Lice Dynamic Preventative Measurement System in operation. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role is a vital part of our farming process to grow our salmon in a sustainable and efficient way, and assist the Site Manager with all aspects of site tasks to ensure a safe and positive work environment.

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary aquaculture degree, certificate or diploma.
- Grade 12, plus over 4 years’ experience in salmon farming, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in providing leadership to a team of staff and supporting all aspects of personnel management.
- Good critical thinking abilities, decision-making abilities and sound judgment.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines for production.
- High attention detail
- Good communication skills.
- Possess strong background in feed and environmental risk management.
- Strong interpersonal skills (i.e. approachable, empathetic) including the ability to develop effective relationships and successfully resolve conflict situations.
- Computer skills (e.g. Aqua Farmer, word processing & spreadsheets).
- Highly motivated, positive outlook and positive attitude towards work.
- The ability to work safely and effectively in challenging environmental conditions.

Wage: $31.80/hour
