**As ATB’s next Market Development Manager, **you bring an in-depth knowledge of ATB Wealth products and investment solutions. You promote ATB Wealth’s brand in the community by being the face of client choice and educating prospective clients on our differentiated advice. You utilize COI’s and community ties to generate referrals for supporting Advisors/Investment Counselors and facilitate a warm hand-off.

Accountabilities:

- Actively engage with centers of influence and prospective clients to identify referral opportunities for advisors/IC’s and facilitate a warm hand-off
- Develop new and nurture existing client relationships to deliver consistent and sustained results within a defined location
- Proactively immerse yourself in the local community by attending events, joining boards, volunteering, networking and seeking innovative ways to build your COI’s
- Be an expert in building client relationships and supporting advisors/IC’s in attracting and earning client business
- Build a culture of collaboration by being a leader of client choice so that clients are paired with those best able to support their financial needs
- Establish and maintain a network of relationships in order to support attracting clients to ATB Wealth
- Have a working knowledge of wealth management in order to increase ATB Wealth’s brand awareness and speak to how we differentiate amongst competitors
- Work with Advisors to craft insightful materials for client conversations and help prepare advisors for meetings
- Possess technical expertise in a topic area that can support a client's planning
- Identify opportunities to connect clients with external partners to implement and advise on their wealth plan
- Foster deeper relationships with clients by finding additional insights that can address their needs

**Requirements**:
What you bring:

- 5+ years of financial industry, business development or related sales experience
- Undergraduate degree in business commerce, finance or equivalent years of experience
- Professional designation such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) would be an asset
- Clear articulation of individual value proposition with a sustained track record of generating new business and meeting growth targets
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with a diverse audience and ability to present materials effectively
- Strong connector of people and ideas - able to build relationships naturally, align interests of broad stakeholders and provide effective oversight to deliver flawless execution of complex investment solutions
- Ability to present complex issues effectively at all levels in the organization and effectively influence others
