**Description**

Reporting to the Manager, Industry Engagement, and the Coordinator, Quantum Challenges will support Quantum City in expediting the commercialization of quantum technologies.

**Summary of Key Responsibilities** (job functions include but are not limited to):

- Support the outreach and intake of applicants to the challenge, including startups, academics, consultants, and enterprise tech firms.
- Monitor and report on project progress, using metrics and KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist Quantum City in building relationships with quantum companies and the traditional industry that will adopt this technology.
- Support in the growing relationships with prospective partners/clients to increase uptake of Quantum City's programming and services.
- Support the development of proposals in collaboration with industry partners for funding.
- Produce materials in support of Quantum Challenges.
- Conduct research on market trends in the quantum industry nationally and globally.
- Provide due diligence on potential partners and targets.
- Serve as the point of contact to ensure clear, consistent communications among all stakeholders, facilitating effective coordination and collaboration.
- Connect all parties with the necessary resources and information needed to successfully complete the challenge, ensuring seamless access and utilization.
- Support the Manager, Industry Engagement in identifying and securing corporate sponsors for the challenge, leveraging strategic relationships to enhance funding and support.
- Conduct detailed reporting on the impact and outcomes of the challenge, providing insightful analysis to stakeholders and using findings to inform future initiatives.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from participants, ensuring questions are addressed in a timely and informative manner to support their engagement and success in the challenge.

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in economics, Political Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience working in economic development, business development, startups, government, or innovation.
- A passion for building the technology and innovation ecosystem in Alberta.
- A commitment to contributing to a positive work environment and supportive culture.
- Proven project coordination and organization skills.
- Advanced communication (written and spoken) and networking abilities.
- Knowledge of technology commercialization or economic development is an asset.
- Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to work to deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
