Ensures ordering, inventory and receiving practises are maintained

Bake breads, pastries and tarts
Glaze and decorate cakes, tarts and entremets
Prepare fillings, creams and dough
Temper chocolate and create chocolate decorations
Keep track of inventory and reorder accordingly
Maintain cleanliness of the pastry kitchen

Technical competency - Demonstrated European pastry competence, professional knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, procedures and presentation.

Problem solving - Adept at juggling multiple needs, calmly, respectfully, creatively and successfully resolve problems, as required.
Safety Focus - Demonstrate safe work practices.
Physical Requirements - Constant lifting, pushing and pulling as well as excessive walking, standing, reaching and bending.
**Other Requirements**:
Minimum 5 years of professional pastry experience in European/Austrian/German style cakes and chocolate
Must have knowledge in preparing a wide variety of cakes, pastries, tarts, cookies and chocolate decor.
Knowledge in filling and masking cakes, piping, glazing and decorate cakes and pastries.
Be able to follow recipes, scale and follow instructions.
Must maintain work area organized and clean.
Must be available on weekends and holidays
Ability to work early morning shifts
Must be able to multitask, remain cool and keep up in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Able to bend and lift up to 30lbs
