**Nature & Scope**:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Aquatics, the Team Lead is responsible for the
supervision of the Lifeguards and Instructors during a variety of programs for all

provide coaching to staff and model excellent customer service to YMCA

members and guests.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver programs as assigned
- Provide front line coverage and back up for Lifeguard and Instructional
- shifts as assigned and when required- Assist in training and supervision of Head Instructors
- Build strong relationships with parents and stakeholders through regular
- communication- Assist the Aquatics Supervisor with staff performance appraisals, program
- evaluation and development- Plan and coordinate in-service trainings and staff meetings
- Maintain knowledge of YMCA and Lifesaving Society programs being run at
- our facilities- Completion of assigned administration tasks in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check

completed not more than 120 days prior to interview, with results
- acceptable to the YMCA of Eastern Ontario.- Current National Lifeguard certification
- Current Standard First aid with CPR-C through an approved agency
- Current Swim Instructor certification through YMCA, Canadian Red Cross,

or Lifesaving Society
- Current Lifesaving Instructors certification an asset
- Lifesaving Examiners, National Lifeguard Instructor, Standard First Aid

Instructors considered assets but not required
