H-N REACH serves as the Lead Agency for Haldimand-Norfolk Child & Youth Mental Health Services, Coordinated Service Planning and the Student Nutrition Program in the Hamilton/Niagara Region. Through our Contact Unit, the agency serves as the single point of access for a variety of children’s services.

H-N REACH is recognized as a local leader in community education, advocacy, inter-sector collaboration and Community Service Planning.

**GROUP SERVICES WORKER Ref. #2024-64**

**Partner Assault Response Program (PAR)**

**Casual, Temporary, Hourly**

PAR provides psychoeducational group programming for adult individuals charged with domestic assault. Haldimand-Norfolk REACH is seeking individuals to support the program on a casual, as needed basis for daytime and evening availability, with no guarantee of hours.

**Responsibilities**
- Co-facilitate weekly group-based programming using both in-person and virtual formats
- Assist with sign-in, attendance, and group activity notes
- Monitor, evaluate, and record the participation of group attendees
- Assist in crisis de-escalation and referrals to other community supports
- Contact, consult, and liaise with justice partners and community agencies.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in a related field: Social Services or Social Sciences
- A minimum of three years’ experience facilitating groups and demonstrated skills in adult learning methods
- Experience working with victims and/or offenders of domestic violence and knowledge of the justice system
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with knowledge of community resources
- Criminal & Judicial Matters and Vulnerable Sector Record Checks, Children’s Aid Society

Declaration/Release
- Possession of a valid driver’s licence, $2 million vehicle liability insurance, clear Driver Abstract and use of a vehicle.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $25.40-$31.75 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Norfolk County, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- group facilitation: 3 years (preferred)
