Since then, the company has grown into a multi-million-dollar company with the ability to run 4 in house built asphalt plants. HJR asphalt can lay up to 400, 000 Tonne of asphalt in the May to October paving season. HJR prides themselves on having great workers with great work ethic. Each employee knows that we all need to pitch in to achieve the common goal of making Saskatchewan’s roads better.

The lab is an essential part of HJR asphalt. It is critical that quality assurance and quality control is maintained on many of our jobs. The lab technician performs various tests in the field to ensure that the aggregate and the asphalt is in spec with the mix design set out by the Lab Supervisor prior to the job starting. We are looking for someone to join our team to crush aggregate at a pit site and eventually transition onto a paving crew. HJR Asphalt follows a 10 and 4 work schedule, and this position requires regularly overtime and travel across Saskatchewan.
- **Qualifications**_
- Class 5 Driver's License
- Willingness to travel
- Willingness to work overtime
- Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Knowledge of asphalt testing procedures and road construction is an asset
- **Duties and Responsibilities**_
- Report to the Lab Supervisor
- Safely and efficiently operate machines to crush aggregate materials
- Performing testing procedures on aggregate and asphalt materials
- Use sieves to sift aggregate by grain size for testing and mix designs
- Use a variety of lab equipment to test aggregate and asphalt
