**Essential Job Responsibilities**:

- Create dynamic classroom learning experiences using various teaching strategies to facilitate adult learners in achieving learning objectives in accordance with the program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
- Ensure students are motivated to learn and to maximize their potential.
- Develop different classroom strategies to ensure knowledge and skills acquisition and retention.
- Evaluate students’ performance through different academic assessments.
- Prepare academic reports (grading sheet, attendance, academic exercises, and assessments).
- Prepare and update course syllabus/outline and content.
- Create lesson plans and course schedules.
- Actively participate in developing and updating curriculum, manuals, and guides as requested by the Coordinator and Academic Lead.

**Education and Skills Requirements**:

- **Licensure**: Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
- **Teaching Experience**: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Health Care Aid instructor or possession of a Certification in Adult Education from a recognized institution.
- **Professional Experience**: At least 3 years of work experience in the medical field as an LPN or HCA.
- **Expertise**: Proficient in translating theoretical knowledge into clinical practice.
- **Attributes**: Results-driven, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- **Skills**: Strong organizational, research, and accuracy skills.
- **Critical Thinking**: Excellent listening skills and critical thinking abilities.
- **Communication**: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- **Interpersonal Skills**: Ability to interact successfully with diverse populations with sensitivity and respect.
- **Commitment to Quality**: Demonstrates a thorough and dedicated approach to work.

**Shift**:AM shift from June 24 to August 3 ( 8:30 AM-12:30PM) then starting August 4 onwards you will transition to PM shift (5:30-9:30 PM)
