**The Opportunity**:With a rich history of success, XTL is poised for even greater achievements in the years to come. As we continue to expand our operations, we seek a Night Dispatcher 4 On/ 4 Off who is self-motivated and shares our passion for growth.

**Schedule**: Evening Hybrid Position: 4 On/ 4 Off - 1700- 0500 (0030 - 0500 work from home). On-call component is required for this position.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Driver Support**
- Ensure phones and satellite messages are answered promptly
- Manage productivity live using AS 400 tools and maintain dispatch status
- Making sure planning is in accordance with service level requirement of +98%
- Responding to various types of operational issues including, but not limited to: equipment breakdowns, driver re-assignments, load delays or cancellations, overweight loads, etc.
- Monitor road and weather conditions, keep driver advised of worsening conditions or road closures

**2. Trouble Shooting**
- Establishing plans for loads that may not meet service commitments; communicating information to customers and customer service.
- Ensuring proper type of equipment are assigned to customers and trailer bank commitments are not depleted
- Ensure yard check, load security, heated load and inactive trailers are monitored and reported on when necessary to maintenance and/or terminal manager
- Relay information, obstacles and discrepancies to Operations manager, operations, customer service, and/or any other departments when necessary.
- Monitor for hazardous or time sensitive maintenance flags and assign equipment accordingly

**3. Data Integrity**
- Ensure data integrity is accurate and entered in a timely manner.

**4. Planning**
- Plan loads with priority to service and ensure drivers start time

**5. Customer Service**
- Respond to the after-hour needs of customers as they arise and in a timely fashion
- Advise customers of any delays

**Skills & Abilities**
- 1-2 years of experience, either in transport or related industry;
- Strong geographical knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in phone and satellite and operates with attention to detail
- Detail orientated
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Team player committed to quality and customer service
- Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in AS400 and Lotus Notes
