We are currently recruiting for a Construction Shop Technician to be based in our Toronto office in Oakville, ON. As a Shop Technician for PULLMAN, you will be accountable for providing support with the preparation and packaging of products prior to shipping; coordination of equipment freight / delivery; as well as maintenance and orderly storage of tools, equipment and supplies.
- Operating hand-held, electric and hydraulic powered and non-powered tools as well as more complex equipment within the shop
- Assists in the basic maintenance of vehicles such as changing tires.
- Proactively completes equipment maintenance procedures in accordance with company policies.
- Ensures equipment is serviced and job ready when it leaves the shop.
- Maintains and updates WMS (Warehouse management system) as tools and inventory are received and shipped to site.
- Adhering to our Safety 24/7 safety culture as well as all applicable safety standards
- Complies with all company, OSHA, and MOL Safety policies when completing work.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse / plant environment for a construction products company
- Proven experience in a well-structured safety program
- An understanding of internal combustion engines and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- An understanding of computer programs including Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new company resource management tools
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Day time travel is expected for this position
