**Custodial Services Coordinator**

**Start Date: As Soon As Possible**

**Salary Range: $63,357.85 to $85,719.45**

**Location: Henlow Campus and/or remotely, as required**

**Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (35 hours/week)**

Reporting to Senior Manager, Facilities Management, the Custodial Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy environment through coordination and oversight of the daily cleaning of all buildings. Ensure all custodial staff are present or replaced for their work schedule and that all staff are appropriately trained. Responsible for budgeting, procurement, and ensuring that all supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Manage and supervise custodial staff and complete all administrative functions for staff (i.e., talent management; performance management, which includes annual reviews/discipline; training and professional development; and time management)
- Respond to day-to-day cleaning needs for all campuses, including conducting regular checks of building cleanliness
- Scheduling of custodial staff and assigning duties at MITT’s various campuses, including casual and replacement personnel
- Maintain and control the custodial budget and supply expenditures
- Inventory control of facility cleaning products and supplies for all sites
- Control shipping, receiving, and ordering of all custodial supplies for all campuses
- Maintain, review, and evaluate contracts, tenders, and agreements for services and products
- Develop and maintain written cleaning practices and procedures
- Ensure that staff are trained; arrange, provide and facilitate appropriate training
- Mentor and support staff to ensure compliance with approved practices and procedures
- Continual assessment and implementation of new initiatives of cleaning processes
- Ensure that staff are appropriately trained, including refresher training as needed
- Assist as needed to support MITT events
- Coordinates the locking and unlocking of buildings as directed
- Using MITT’s CMMS system, reports broken or items in need of repair and initiates work orders for necessary repair and maintenance
- Coordinates furniture, equipment, as required
- Coordinates with snow and ice removals from designated areas, as required.

**Required Qualifications and Experience**:

- A combination of related education and experience may be considered._
- Post-Secondary education in facilities management or a related area
- Trade certificate in a related field or supervision/management are an asset
- Minimum of 5 years working in a custodial/commercial cleaning industry
- Minimum of 3 years experience in supervising staff
- Good working knowledge of building cleaning principals and procedures
- Good working knowledge of building cleaning products
- Intermediate computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and maintenance programs
- Experience in managing budgets
- Experience in outsourcing and procurement
- Excellent customer relations skills
