**Job Summary**:
The Seniors Transportation Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the Community Van Initiative, and works with volunteers to provide transportation for members of the community. Transportation includes shuttles to/from drop-in centers & local shelters, rides in the community, and to medical appointments in/outside Abbotsford. This position is responsible for program development, implementation, and delivery.

**Your Role**:
Archway’s Seniors Transportation Coordinator with the Community Van Service contributes by:

- Receiving ride requests from clients, scheduling volunteer drivers, and planning and assigning transportation routes accordingly.
- Liaising with community agencies and stakeholder groups to ensure the program meets the community’s requirements and needs for seniors.
- Ensuring the society vehicle is properly maintained and is in good working order.
- Collecting payments and creating invoices for Medical Transportation trips outside of the Abbotsford area.
- Collects and maintains program data. Reports data quarterly and annually.

This position is a great fit for someone who has great planning and organizing skills, is able to maintain and update schedules, has great interpersonal skills, and understands the barriers and challenges low-income seniors face.

**Our Offer**:

- Wage: $24.00 per hour
- A part-time position at 10 hours per week, availability Tuesdays to Thursdays, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Temporary until March 31, 2025.

**Getting an Interview-you will be considered if you have**:

- A high school diploma, Adult Graduation Diploma, or equivalent.
- A diploma in Social Work or Human Services is an asset.
- A valid BC Class 5 driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Experience in a customer service and/or dispatch role.
- Experience working with traditionally marginalized population groups, such as seniors, and individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Experience coordinating the work of a small team or managing a group of volunteers is an asset.

**The Job Requires you to have**:

- Well-developed networking and relationship building skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Able to use Microsoft Office 365 and virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- Able to work efficiently and assign appropriate priorities and tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to effectively interact in a diplomatic, collaborative, professional and results-oriented manner.
- Ability to drive clients to/from drop-in centers, and in the community, with the use of a society vehicle.
- Ability to effectively switch tasks to respond to priorities.
- Ability for in-person contact with on-site staff and clients, requiring adherence to health and safety
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment.
