**PRIMARY FOCUS/MANDATE**:
The junior project manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. This is a junior role at an organization and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving projects simultaneously. As a junior project manager, you will be responsible for the management of resources and tasks from scoping, planning, and execution to deployment, acceptance, and transition.

**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES**

The duties of the Junior Project Manager include but are not limited to:

- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare a budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements.
- Track project costs in order to meet budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

**KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

**EDUCATION**
- Post-secondary degree or college degree in construction/project management.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum of 2 Years of Experience in the field of construction project management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong computer skills

**COMPETENCIES & ATTRIBUTES**
- Diplomatic, pleasant with excellent written and communication skills in English
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Creative with the ability to suggest improvements.
- Authorized to live and work in Canada.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
